The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society & University of Arizona Tribal Extension Program are organizing the Native Women in Agriculture & Natural Resources Symposium  on April 2-3, 2025 at Salish Kootenai College, Pablo, Montana & Kwataqnuk Resort and Casino, Polson, Montana.

This two-day symposium will bring in Native women from across Indian country that are doing work in natural resources and agriculture sectors to discuss topics such as workplace wellness, salary negotiation, women empowerment, leadership skills building, healthy relationship building, and safety. Covering such topics can help provide American Indian/Alaskan Native women the tools and support system to aid in their career journeys, build community and sustain representation within the fields.

***This event/affinity space is intended and dedicated for Native individuals and representatives of Tribes/ Tribal/Native Organizations within the agriculture and natural resources fields that identify as women***

Registration: There are no 1-day rates at this time.

  • Registration Rates for Early Bird has passed.
    • Guaranteed t-shirt and t-shirt sizes for early bird registrants. On-site and regular rate registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt or correct size.
  • Regular Dates start 3/15/25
    • Regular NAFWS Member Professional Rate: $100.00
    • Regular NAFWS Nonmember Professional Rate – includes membership: $170.00
    • Regular Student – includes membership: $50.00

  • We have a room block set up (up to 60 rooms):
    • Group Rate: $100 per night / $108 per night. Total cost for 3 nights including tax is $324 / $349.92
      • Hospitality tax is 8%
    • Deadline to Reserve: March 2, 2025 – however casino still abiding by room block rate.

Barter Night: (Optional) Bring an item or item(s) you would like to barter with other attendees. Examples: jar of jelly from your farm, handmade earrings, stickers, necklaces, books, etc. Please keep in mind that some attendees will be flying to and from the event.

Transportation: We are not providing specific transportation to the Event Space or to/from the airport.
