Invasive Species Management Planning and Field Techniques Workshop

The Native American Fish and Wildlife Society and Oneida Nation are excited to announce the Invasive Species Management and Field Techniques in-person training. This training will take place at the Oneida Casino Hotel on June 10-12, 2025. In this training, participants will learn the basics and elements needed in management planning; the importance of protecting cultural resources from invasive species like Phragmites and Eurasian Water Milfoil; There will be both classroom and field elements while integrating ID and Impact Assessment.
Please come prepared for field work. Items to consider are lightweight, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, comfortable closed-toed shoes, sunglasses, thermal water bottle, and a hat. Eye protection and gloves will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own pairs if preferred. Insect repellant and sunscreen will be provided.

NAFWS members or Member Tribes: There will be no registration costs for NAFWS members or member Tribes. You must log in to access the member price.
NAFWS Non-member: If you are not a member or from a non-member Tribe, the cost of this course is $150, which includes membership.
This workshop will be capped at 15 participants.
Please limit registration to two representatives per Member Tribe or Tribal Organization.
