Description

The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society (NAFWS) in partnership with NASA is pleased to announce a webinar on Earth Observations and other programs and opportunities through NASA’s Indigenous Peoples Initiative (IPI). NASA Earth Observations can be a powerful tool to enhance our understanding of a holistic Earth system. These data can be used to support landscape monitoring, mapping, and decision-making, to identify the impacts of climate change on ecosystems, and to support efforts to increase environmental justice. In this webinar, NASA’s Indigenous Peoples Initiative (IPI) will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Earth Observations, provide an overview of NASA’s Earth Action and Capacity Building Programs, and share resources and opportunities to connect in the future. We’d also like to hear from you about needs and ideas for a training at the NAFWS Annual Conference. Please join us to learn more about how you can use these innovative resources in your environmental monitoring and management efforts.

The webinar will take place February 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. MST

In Recognition of Their Support

The Native American Fish and Wildlife Society would like to thank those organizations that provided us with support over the years. With them we grew an effective national communications network for the exchange of information and management techniques related to self-determined tribal fish and wildlife management.
