Geospatial Migration Movement Mapping

The Native American Fish and Wildlife Society and United Tribes Technical College are excited to announce a geospatial migration movement mapping in person training. This training will take place at United Tribes Technical College on April 11-12, 2025. In this training participants will have the opportunity to explore animal movement data and complete analysis to answer critical management questions. We will also cover the collection of GPS collar data from wildlife and how it helps inform conservation management.  It is REQUIRED that registrants have a basic understanding of Arc GIS Pro: how to take csv formatted movement data and transform it into a shapefile, project data sets, create shapefiles, basic understanding of raster datasets.

Course Registration:

Registration closes April 4, 2025. Travel assistance through reimbursement is available for individual members and member Tribes. 

NAFWS members or Member Tribes: There will be no registration costs for NAFWS members or member Tribes.

NAFWS Non-member: If you are not a member or from a non-member Tribe, the cost of this course is $150.

This workshop will be capped at 10 participants.

Please limit registration to two representatives per Tribe or Tribal Organization.
