Dates: June 3-5, 2025

Wildlife Field Forensics is an advanced training course for wildlife investigators with the objective of providing skills and techniques used to process a wildlife crime scene. Participants will experience both lecture and field exercises focused on the following topics:
  • Decomposition analysis for time of death estimates
  • Forensic entomology and decomposition basics plus insect collection protocols
  • Wildlife human attack investigation techniques
  • Field firearms and ammunition examination techniques
  • GPS for evidentiary purposes
  • Field necropsy lecture presentation and demo
  • Basics of DNA analysis and tissue collection protocols
  • Relevant case histories

Course Registration:

*NAFWS Members receive exclusive registration access to this course until April 2nd.*

NAFWS members or Member Tribes: There will be no registration costs for NAFWS members or member Tribes.

NAFWS Non-member: If you are not a member or from a non-member Tribe, the cost of this course is $150.

All participants will be responsible for their own lodging from June 2-6 2025
