Wildlife Handling and Chemical Immobilization Training

Co-hosted by: 

Native American Fish and Wildlife Society and Crow Tribe

This 3-day course with live animals focuses on the field-based needs for chemical immobilization of captive and free-ranging wildlife in North America. It is the most current, extensive, and innovative training you can receive. This class is designed for Tribal Wildlife Professionals, Tribal animal control officers, and Tribal Conservation Law Enforcement Officers (CLEO). Dr. Mark will customize each course to meet the specific needs of attendees, building confidence, success, and safety in animal handling. Dr. Mark will provide support and advising long after the course.

Please bring comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, working gloves, a water bottle, a sun hat, and a laptop. Lunch will be provided on Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16.

This workshop will be capped at 10 participants.

Please limit registration to two representatives per Member Tribe or Tribal Organization.

Lodging: NAFWS will provide lodging for participants from July 15th – July 17th only, with preference to NAFWS members. Lodging on Monday, July 14th, is not covered by NAFWS.
